RS Models - 1/72 Avia Ba.122 1 decal v. for Czechoslovakia.

In the spring of 1934, the army leadership decided on the participation of Czechoslovak pilots in the international aerobatic competition Coupe Mondial, which was to be held in June in Paris. Under the leadership of ing. Novotny and with the help of acrobats rtm. Novik and Sgt. Ambruz, a new aerobatic aircraft B-222 was created in six weeks.

In Paris, Novik finished fourth and Ambruz eighth. The aircraft was further modified, the rudder was enlarged and the upper wing was fitted with winglets. This version was already marked Ba 122. For the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, the Ba.122 was equipped with a more powerful nine-cylinder Avia Rk-17 or Walter Pollux engine. Here Sirok½ came second, Novik third and Ambruz eighth.
